Apartments - Newtownards
This scheme comprised the provision of two apartment blocks for a garden site in Newtownards.
The brief required full planning approval for a high quality apartment development. The site was restricted an required tow different block designs to maximize the accommodation. As always parking and amenity space were significant site restrictions which were address by the landscaped shared surface access.
Each block extends over two floors with the larger housing a masonette, which makes use of the roof area. The elevational treatment is in a Victorian style to fit with the large period dwellings in the vicinity. The final scheme added six semi-detached houses to the south of the site.
